Jean Montero Leaves Valencia Basket

Jean Montero has officially announced his departure from Valencia Basket, following the payment of his buyout clause. This marks the end of a remarkably impactful two-season stint for the Dominican player, who arrived in 2024 and quickly became a legend for the club. His exit comes shortly after the departures of Jaime Pradilla and coach Pedro Martinez.

Montero's legacy at Valencia is largely cemented by his exceptional performance in the recently concluded season. He was recognized as the Euroleague Rising Star and was instrumental in guiding his team to their first-ever Final Four appearance in the competition. In the Final Four against Panathinaikos, he averaged an impressive 18.6 points and 5.8 assists per game, leading a significant comeback from a 2-0 deficit.
