L'AS Monaco semble sur le point d'être tirée d'affaire. Selon les informations de L'Équipe, le club de la principauté devrait conserver sa place dans l'élite du basketball français. Le projet de reprise mené par l'ancien joueur NBA, Jamal Mashburn, devrait être validé ce vendredi par la Chambre d'Appel de la FFBB, suite à la réception des garanties bancaires requises.
Aleksey Fedoricsev aurait ainsi renoncé à céder le club, qui passera désormais sous pavillon américain, avec Mashburn comme figure centrale. Cependant, il y aura une certaine continuité dans l'organigramme monégasque, puisque le directeur exécutif, Oleksiy Yefimov, restera en poste.
Un budget réduit
Après avoir bénéficié de la masse salariale la plus importante de la Betclic Élite ces dernières années, Monaco devra désormais s'adapter à un budget de 12,5 millions d'euros. L'essentiel réside dans le fait que l'ASM sera sauvée, évitant ainsi un nouveau bouleversement dans le basketball français, alors que l'ASVEL traverse également une période difficile.
